¿Hasta qué punto es necesario hacer un drama sobre adolsecentes que juegan a futbol americano hoy en día? ¿No se ha mostrado suficiente de este deporte en multitud de películas de las de Antena 3 para después de comer? Y por otro lado, la serie ess capaz de levantar los más bajos instintos de cualquier persona (por lo menos los míos).Desde el primer episodio me debato entre si lo que necesita Dillon, Texas (el pueblo donde está ambientada la serie) es una plaga bíblica que extermine a todo bicho viviente, o una masacre estilo Columbine, que mate sólo a los jugadores del equipo del instituto. Porque Dillon, Texas, vive para el futbol americano. Si no eres parte del equipo de futbol no eres nadie. Y eso levanta mi más profundo odio hacia todos esos paletos que habitan en esa pobre poblacho tejano. Allí todo son unos fanáticos del futbol americano, y éste se vive como una religión.
Pocas veces, los típicos estereotipos (el quaterback que sufre una lesión que le impedirá volver a jugar, su novia - la animadora- su mejor amigo - el borracho torturado de pelito largo -, su repsectiva novia - la puta white trash - o el sustituto del quaterback al que le queda grande el puesto) me handespertado tanta compasión. No son ellos los culpables de ser gilipollas, es la sociedad donde viven. Todos esos fracasados que muestran su anillo de campeones de futbol del Texas (lo único que han hecho en toda su vida) son los que hacen que esos niñatos sean subnormales. Los culpables son todas esas personas con mullets que van los domingos a misa a rezar por el partido de viernes, y porque el quaterback se ponga bien; o esas madres ultramaquilladas que sólo enseñan a sus hijas como ser prositutas (seguro que de pequeñas las llevaron a concursos como Little Miss Sunshine). Ellos son los que se merecen morir. Son los que me hacen desear que haya un giro argumental y Godzilla ataque Texas.
Ojalá mueran todos en la segunda temporada.
